An Amazon wholesale agency helps people or businesses sell products on Amazon through the wholesale model. Instead of creating their own brand, they buy already established brand’s products in bulk from trusted suppliers and resell them on Amazon at a profit.
You build your own brand in this model and spend a lot on advertisement as people don’t know about your brand and people might like it and might end up disliking it. Huge investment required and huge risk involved.
Wholesale refers to as reselling of brand name products which are already selling well on Amazon and you buy from authorized distributors or manufacturers themselves at wholesale and sell them at retail on Amazon. Very less risky as brands already have reputation and people are already buying.
Arbitrage is same as wholesale. You just don’t have any approval from brands or distributors and you buy from retail stores at discounts or closeouts and sell on Amazon at retail. Brands might end up giving you IP complaint on Amazon and you might end up getting that listing or even account deactivated at worse.
FBA and FBM refers to as fulfillment methods. It means how do you want to fulfill orders to customers.
FBA means fulfillment by Amazon and it means you will buy the inventory, prep it and send it to Amazon’s warehouse. Now whenever you will get an order, Amazon will pack and ship the order to customer on your behalf and Amazon charges you a fee for that.
FBM means fulfillment by merchant and that means you do not need to send the inventory to Amazon’s warehouse, you keep the inventory at your warehouse, 3rd party prep center you hire or at your garage. Whenever a customer places an order, you buy the shipping from UPS or FedEx or wherever you want to buy it from and ship to customer, yourself. You are responsible to provide customer service as well.
Amazon regards FBA sellers more they have more control over the inventory and delivery to their customers.
There is an option to give child access on your Amazon seller account. You can limit the access to specific tabs if you are hiring a VA for specific purpose and you can also give complete access if you are hiring a VA for A-Z management.
Is it safe to give Child Access? Can our confidential data be leaked?
It is completely safe to give child access to your VA. Infact, the purpose of child access is to let your VA manage your store. Your VA can’t see your bank or tax details and other confidential information on your seller account and that is by default on Amazon.
In wholesale we buy from authorized distributors or the brands in the USA. In order to get business pricing and get wholesale accounts, you must have business established with proper Federal Tax ID (EIN) and Resellers Permit in the USA to open business accounts with suppliers or else they won’t recognize you as a business or give your wholesale accounts.
You need a website to portrait yourself as a professional e-commerce retailer. Suppliers love e-commerce sellers who have their own presence/website as well. They think of them as a potential customer and give them business account easily and they also give them the best pricing.
Professional email is something; you get on your domain/business name. For example you have registered your LLC under the name sunshine and bought a domain from any domain provider like name cheap, hostinger, go daddy. Now www.sunshine.com would be your website’s URL and you can sign up professional email using this domain. You can add anything before this domain like info@sunshine.com, support@sunshine.com or ceo@sunshine.com
You can start with $5000 and to scale it the more you invest, the sweeter the rewards.
When you buy inventory and send it to your warehouse or third party warehouse you hire, now Amazon asks us to paste labels/FNSKUs on each item so that they are aware of who is sending the inventory. When your inventory reaches Amazon’s warehouse they scan the labels on your products which are obviously generated from your seller account so in this way they know this seller sent this much units of this item. Those labels can be generated directly from your seller account after listing that item and those are free.
They normally charge $0.50 to $1 per unit for labeling.
